Nathaniel Yeary - Founder & President
Having grown up with neurodiversity in my family—and now raising a neurodivergent child of my own—I’ve seen both the challenges and the incredible perspectives that come with it. Those experiences have shaped how I look at the world. I don’t see differences as limitations, but as strengths that deserve understanding, patience, and the right kind of support.
In my professional life, I work in cybersecurity and risk management, helping organizations navigate complex problems and protect what matters most. In my personal life, that same mindset carries over—but the focus is on people. I care deeply about creating space for others to feel understood, supported, and able to succeed in their own way.
If my experience can help even one person feel less alone or more confident in their path, then it’s worth it.
At the end of the day, what matters most to me is being a good father, husband, and friend—and trying to show up with empathy, honesty, and purpose in everything I do.

Daphne Soto - Co-Founder & Marketing Director
I am the founder and owner of SAIL Coaching & Consulting, LLC, and co-founder of the non-profit LOTUS. After serving my country for over 25 years in the military and working in the field of human resources, I had a calling to continue helping others. I completed my Masters of Arts in Professional Mental Health Counseling from Webster University and began working with young adults diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD–Level 1) or other learning differences. For over 5 years, I have dedicated my time to working with neurodivergent young adults as a mentor, helping them to recognize and achieve their personal, professional, and academic goals.
Initially, upon graduation, my intent was to pursue licensure in the state of Florida. However, after serving as a consultant for therapists, I recognized that a life coach was more inline with what I wanted to do–collaborate with children, young adults and their parents to achieve their goals and passions utilizing a support system that addresses several areas of growth and development. Even more so, I recognized resources were scarce for individuals beyond their formative years, and programs that could accommodate their needs were beyond many family’s price range. This led me to wanting others to SAIL, that is, find Serenity. Affirmation. Insight. Life. in a way that motivates them to discover their purpose.

Arlena Brookins - Vice President
I am Arlena Brookins, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the owner of Brookins Outpatient Consulting, LLC, where I provide mental health services to Florida residents both virtually and in person. Originally from Philadelphia, PA, I left home to attend Hampton University, earning my Bachelor of Science in Accounting while also participating in ROTC. I went on to serve 24 years in the military, and after retiring, I felt called to redirect my career toward caring for others in a more personal and meaningful way. This led me to complete my Master of Social Work at the University of Southern California, with a focus on supporting children, youth, and families. For more than eight years, I have worked with individuals and families experiencing substance abuse, trauma, depression, and anxiety, and I expanded my practice to include the neurodivergent community about six years ago. I am passionate about this work and deeply fulfilled by helping people navigate challenges, build resilience, and improve their overall well-being.

Cady Miller - Treasurer
I am the founder of Clear Tide Accounting, a bookkeeping and tax firm I have led since 2018. With experience in financial management — including accounting services for nonprofit organizations — I bring both technical expertise and a heart for mission-driven work to LOTUS.
I was diagnosed with Autism and ADHD at a young age after experiencing developmental delays and was homeschooled beginning in preschool to receive focused support. Despite early
speech and behavioral challenges, I graduated a year early with a special proficiency in math. In high school, I competed in regional public speaking and qualified with a persuasive speech on
Autism.
At 19, my diagnosis was questioned due to my emotional intelligence and communication skills, but I was ultimately re-diagnosed — reflecting a common experience for autistic women and high-masking individuals. That same year, I married my husband, Robert, and at 21, I launched my accounting firm.
I am passionate about redefining success for neurodivergent individuals. I believe thriving comes not from masking or conforming, but from building support systems and intentionally
creating lives that align with how our brains work. Through LOTUS, I hope to help other neurodivergent people find the resources and support they need to achieve their own version of success. As leaders, entrepreneurs, or whatever they choose to be.

Jacqueline Vanderby - Sergeant-At-Arms
Jacqueline Vanderby, M.S., is a compassionate counselor and life coach with over three years of experience working with neurodivergent individuals. She holds a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health and is dedicated to helping clients build confidence, independence, and meaningful connections. Before joining LOTUS, Jacqueline worked at a domestic violence shelter, where she assisted individuals in finding critical resources and rebuilding their lives.

Miranda Yeary - Secretary
I am an educator, advocate, founder of LOTUS who is passionate about supporting neurodivergent children and their families. Inspired by her experiences as both a teacher and a mother of a neurodivergent son, she is dedicated to creating inclusive learning environments where all students are understood, supported, and empowered to succeed. Miranda believes every child can learn and thrive when educators and families work together with compassion, patience, and the right resources. Through her work, she strives to build stronger communities that celebrate differences and support the unique strengths of every learner.
